Randy Lashinski

Chairman and President/CEO

Randy Lashinski is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Millipede, Inc. Randy was previously Founder, President and CEO of Claret Medical, a percutaneous, dual-filter company for TAVI procedures. In addition to Claret, Randy co-founded and was President, CEO and later Chief Technology Officer of Direct Flow Medical, a percutaneous aortic valve company. In addition to Direct Flow, Randy served as Founding Engineer and VP of Research and Development at MitraLife, a device later sold to ev3 where he developed a device for the treatment of mitral regurgitation. Randy’s early cardiovascular experience included engineering roles at Arterial Vascular Engineering (AVE) / Medtronic Vascular and Target Therapeutics.

Dr. Steven F. Bolling

Professor of Cardiac Surgery, University of Michigan

Steven F. Bolling brings to the Millipede, Inc. Board of Directors not only a depth of clinical knowledge in mitral and tricuspid valve repair surgery, but also significant experience with early stage technologies in the medical and non-medical fields. His reputation and publications in mitral and tricuspid valve repair are recognized globally and result in referrals from across the country for valve reconstruction surgery. In particular, his innovative approach to mitral valve repair in patients with end-stage left ventricular heart failure and outstanding ability to repair even the most challenging valve abnormalities have received wide-spread international acclaim.

Joe Cunningham, MD

Managing Director, Santé Ventures

Joe Cunningham is a Founding Partner and Managing Director of Santé Ventures, an early stage life science and healthcare venture capital firm. Prior to Santé Ventures, Joe was a healthcare Venture Partner with Austin Ventures and Vice Chair of the Ascension Health Ventures investment committee. He is also the former Chief Medical Officer of the Providence Health System and Executive Director of the 300-physician Providence Health Alliance. He has extensive management experience and is recognized nationally for his expertise in healthcare delivery systems, physician associations and compensation models. Joe serves on advisory boards for UnitedHealthcare, Health Services Corporation (Blue Cross Blue Shield), Partners Healthcare and the Innovation Board for the Cleveland Clinic. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Quality Assurance and Peer Review. Dr. Cunningham received his BS and MD degrees from Texas A&M University and his MBA from Baylor University.

James Eadie, MD

Partner, Santé Ventures

James joined Santé Ventures in 2010. Previously, James served in the Air Force and was the medical director and Vice-Chair of Emergency Medicine at Wilford Hall Medical Center, an academic level-one trauma center in San Antonio. He completed two tours in Iraq as a critical care transport team chief and as the emergency department commander. He separated honorably as a Major in 2008. James received his MBA from the University of Texas McCombs School Of Business, his MD from Harvard Medical School, and a BS in bioengineering, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Michigan. He is board certified in emergency medicine and completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Stefan Widensohler

Executive Chairman, KRAUTH Invest GmbH & Co

Stefan Widensohler has over 35 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the healthcare space. He is currently the Executive Chairman of KRAUTH Invest GmbH & Co., where he has been influential in the organization’s investments in numerous companies. Prior to the successful sale of its operations, Stefan built the KRAUTH Group to become Europe’s most successful distribution and service business group for products in General Surgery, Orthopedics/Spine, Respiratory Therapy, Anesthesia/ICU, Cardiac Surgery and Interventional Cardiovascular Solutions. His successes also include co-founding Invatec spA (later sold to Medtronic). He currently serves as a Member of the Management Advisory Boards at TowerBrook Capital Partners LP (New York), Genui Partners (Hamburg), BGM Associates (Berlin), and as Vice Chairman of the Board of BVMed (Germany’s Health Industry Manufacturer’s Association). Stefan graduated from the Private Academy of Bad Harzburg, Germany with a degree in economics.
